Paul Staïcu stages the story of his life as a pianist with great humour. Trained from an early age in the tough Romanian school of classical piano, brought up on jazz in the greatest secrecy, Paul spent his adolescence in Ceausescu's Bucharest. Then came his incredible escape, political asylum, the Paris Conservatoire and his professional debut.

Winner of numerous awards in both his home countries, he takes a candid look at an atypical career, which he illustrates with his brilliant interpretations of music from all horizons, from Schumann to Elton John.
